I’ve noticed that there are terms we used in the Philippines that’s not commonly known / used here in America.
I’m not sure if this just applies here in California.
| Philippine commonly used term | American term | |
| comfort room / CR | restroom | |
| softdrinks | soda | |
| dine in | for here | |
| take-out | to go |
This means that if you try to use the non-American terms then most of the people won’t be able to understand you, not unless of course if they’re Filipinos as well.
I’ll try to update these if I’ll be finding out more terms that’s not used / recognized in America.
